Yes, Brainspotting can be effectively completed virtually. Many therapists, including myself, offer virtual Brainspotting sessions to accommodate clients who prefer or need to engage in therapy from the comfort of their own homes.
The process remains the same as in-person sessions, utilizing eye positioning and focused mindfulness to access and process traumatic memories and emotions. Many clients find virtual sessions to be just as effective as in-person sessions, and they offer the added convenience of eliminating travel time and allowing you to be in a familiar, comfortable environment.
Ideally, we would meet 1x a week in the beginning as we build rapport and establish treatment goals, however, I understand busy schedules and financial obligations can get in the way; so bi-weekly and monthly sessions are an option.
